A large antique general operating set by Gemrig, Philadelphia. The group belonged to Dr. Henry Allen Record, who was a Civil War US Army contract surgeon (Acting Assistant Surgeon) at Findley General Hospital, Washington, D.C., from March to July 1865 (when the hospital was closed). A copy of his contract and a Brady picture of him in his A.A.S's. uniform have been secured.
